Marge’s Applesauce Drop Cookies have all the makings of a good sturdy cookie-jar recipe: sweetened applesauce, raisins, bran, and a warm mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. The card is dated 1951 and even notes that the recipe came from Marge by way of Ann — the kind of little trail that makes these old recipes especially fun to find.
