Dumplings

These old fashioned dumplings were meant to be dropped straight from a spoon into a kettle over simmering meat for a simple, filling supper. Recipes like this were kitchen basics for generations, stretching broth into a hearty meal with just flour, baking powder, milk, and a little time on the stove.
