Some desserts just aren’t complete without a sauce spooned over the top. This old recipe was meant for plum pudding, but as the “Etc.” in the title suggests, it could be used with other puddings and desserts too. Brandy, lemon, nutmeg or vanilla can be added to suit whatever you’re serving.
