1 cupful sugar;
grated rind 1 lemon
1/3 cupful hot water
1 tablespoonful Crisco
1 cupful flour
1 1/2 teaspoonfuls baking P.
1/4 teaspoonful salt
Gradually beat the sugar
into the eggs, add the
rind, the Crisco melted in
the hot water, and the
flour sifted with the
baking powder.
