Potpourris of Rose Petals
Pick the petals (red holds its color best)
when flowers are in full bud but not
completely blown.
To each qt. of petals, add 1 oz. of orris
root & spices such as cloves,
cinnamon, coriander, and mace
may be added if desired; 1/2 tsp. of
each. Keep in air tight container.
Lavender Basket
Paint an aluminum tea caddy with
white (or pastel) enamel; trim with gold
braid, sequins, and plastic flowers;
fill with dried lavender.
